How to run a niche meme page for your brand

the trickiest b2b meme marketing tactic of all time

Sup memelords,

You ever see a brand’s meme page getting tens of millions of views???

Boring brands are literally making millions in sales running niche meme pages.

How do I know this???

Memelord.com powers some of the biggest brand niche meme pages on the internet.

On Wednesday, I hosted a webinar for 150+ marketers on how to do it right.

I’m gonna drop the playbook below (plus the full deck and a tutorial on how to use our new AI meme dealer):

Hear me out. We start a niche meme page and drive sales without posting memes on main.

First, why should you run a niche meme page???

Before I started memelord.com, I was a social media manager for tech cos.

Working with one particular fintech unicorn (who shall not be named) went like this:

Jason writes banger post. Team of 4 people argue over the post. Jason edits post. Team approve posts. Posts go out. 30 minutes later. Post deleted. Jason confused. “Someone internal flagged it”. Jason screams expletives.

Your main brand account is jail

This experience led me to believe that: a) brand accounts cannot be run by an external person who doesn’t have context and b) every brand should have secondary niche pages where they can take more risk.

So we’ve been helping big b2b unicorns run secondary niche meme pages to help them drive sales for the last year. And now it’s one of the main use cases of memelord.com.

But here’s the thing.

I didn’t invent the secondary page.

Hot girls on Instagram did. It’s called a “Finsta” or “Finstagram” and hot girls have been doing it forever. It’s a place to feature your candid self without worries.

Secondary pages are lower risk (and even lower with our meme dealer).

That’s why the hottest companies run multiple pages (not just their own brand page).

your main brand account can’t be everything…

secondary pages are low risk

The Multi-Account Universe

Your brand is a world

Your brand should be its own cinematic universe.

The best brands run a multi-account universe. Whether it’s AI characters or mass UGC or clip farms, brands are leaning towards quantity harder than ever.

We does this in-house with dozens of pages.

“Well you’re Memelord! I have to have a fun consumer brand to do that kinda stufff.”

Uh no. Actually b2b companies do it best.

It always surprises people but Memelord.com is primarily b2b selling to marketers, CMOs, Heads of Growth, and social media managers.

And in fact, the boringer the better because it’s easier to make fun of HR or legal than it is something that is already funny like a fart app.

It’s humor arbitrage baby.

I mean maybe you’ve seen some of these pages…

The truth? These are boring serious tech brands using memes and humor to drive sales up the wazzzzoooo.

Deel is worth $17B. If they’re not too serious for memes, are you??

The playbook: How to run a secondary niche meme page in 10 min/day using Memelord’s AI meme dealer

HOW TO START A NICHE MEME PAGE!!

Ok so we’ve shown you why to run a secondary page and that real businesses do this.

Now the only thing left.

How??????

First you need to pick what type of page you’re doing.

If you’ve already got a big brand, then you can do something like “BigBrandMemes” but chances are you ain’t that big. In which case you should go with the category or niche of the people you’re selling to.

brand vs category meme pages

From there, you should be experimenting daily.

Trying new formats. Not running things through legal approval. Just going crazy.

This is actually the hardest part. Expect this to take a few months of little to no ROI and just pure vibes.

What should you post?

A nice rule here is the 80/20 rule. 80% of your content should be for the masses, 20% elite ball knowledge for your niche. It’s not about number of views but rather $$$ in your industry.
